Kenpal Farm Products Inc. was the first feed company in North America to achieve certification under the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) – ANAC/SGS (Societe Generale de Surveillance, the worlds largest inspection, testing, and certification organization). Kenpal has maintained this certification since it was first certified in 1999 and is constantly improving its system.
HACCP programs are globally accepted system and product based and designed to ensure the safe production of a food product. The program is designed to protect the food supply by following a system to prevent contamination by chemical, biological and physical hazards at every stage of the manufacturing and delivery process.
In 2013 Kenpal added ISO 22000-2005 to their food safety program to further enhance its commitment to their food safety program.
ISO, which stands for the International Organization for Standardization, integrates the principle of HACCP as well as the applicable steps developed by CODEX Almentarius Commission on an international or worldwide basis. Its principle aim is to harmonize, on a global level the requirements for food safety management within the food chain.
In 2021 Kenpal updated their certification under the new ISO 22000-2018 and ISO/TS 22000-6:2016 guidelines. This further demonstrates our dedication to maintaining the highest standing food safety in feed production.
